Boscamping Appelscha

Very nice campsite which is located in a beautiful location between the forests and heathlands of the Drent/Friese Wold National Park. I was a guest here with my wife and 3-year-old son for 3 nights in September during somewhat rainy conditions, but not very cold. This is important to mention as wet conditions can give a different perspective to many campsites. But luckily not at this super campsite. Good terrain paving also towards the camping fields. I even suspect drainage because the fields are equipped with sewers. That is really a rarity. This very neat campsite has more than 50 very spacious camping pitches spread over a number of fields. Sufficient shelter from trees all around. Almost every field has some kind of playground equipment in the middle. Ideal with children. This way you always have a direct view of your kids playing. There is a beautiful petting zoo with many animals as well as an indoor play area with plenty of tables and chairs as well as a ball pit. All very neat and clean. There are 2 sanitary buildings: 1 large one with laundry, family bathroom with children's pool and a place to empty your Thetford / cassette toilet. Everything is very neat and above all clean and fresh. That's the way it should be! The small toilet block is somewhat newer with 3 beautiful and especially spacious showers with 2 shower options. Simply from art! Furthermore, there are 2 toilets and a urinal, all 3 of which are on the outside of the building. Perfectly thought through. Outside you will find the sinks for your dishes. Good hot water available! There is a takeaway point - snack bar and also a cozy forest pavilion restaurant with terrace with plenty of choice. Well arranged. A bread service for the morning is also available. Furthermore, a large playground with an inflatable bouncy castle. There is also a large football field. You can walk or cycle straight into the national park from the campsite. Appelscha is a nice holiday destination. A bit like the Lage Vuursche with its pancake houses. We believe that this environment can easily compete with, for example, the Veluwe. The forest campsite is a bit further by bike from the center of Appelscha, where the restaurants, outdoor facilities, DuinenZathe amusement park and the lookout tower are located. If you want to be closer to it, RCN Camping De Roggeberg is a better choice, but it is much, much larger in design. This campsite also has a lot to offer. It just depends on what you're looking for. Be that as it may, the owners of Boscamping Appelscha have done well. We work hard and it shows in everything.

Excellent campsite with restaurant, customer-friendly and relevant information! Beautiful spacious camping pitches, super sanitary facilities, cozy campsite with a nice playground and zoo for the children. Delicious food with prompt service, the takeaway pizza was also very good and at the agreed time, despite the crowds. We would love to come back here again! 😃
